The President of the Association of Oshodi Town Indigenes, High Chief (Dr.) Rasaq Fassesan Ajanaku, the Alakoso Apena of Oshodi Town, has cautioned the youths to desist from seeking to be rich through diabolic means, saying the consequence of such action is brutal.

He gave the warning in his message during the celebration of 2020 Isese Day held in Oshodi.

Ajanaku, who noted the rate at which the youths seek wealth through various illegal means, warned that their actions would have negative impacts on the society.

He also warned the parents to guide their children in the right path so that they do not deviate from good characters to involve in criminal activities.

“Our youths should be patient. They should desist from looking for money by all means. Majority of them pursue what is beyond them and that is why they are involved in Yahoo yahoo.

“All these cannot make the society grow. The youths are supposed to be agents of development but reverse is the case in our own society. The cause of all these is idleness, many of them don’t have jobs and they want to live big. My own advice is that all youths must learn a vocation at least so that they don’t become jobless after their schooling.”

He therefore appealed to the governments at the state and local levels to give the traditional worshippers full support in term of recognition by declaring August 20 holiday for them and also in term of finance to be able to procure the necessary materials to make the sacrifices during the festival which, he said, cost million naira.
