The chairman of Agboyi-kute Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Dele Oshinowo has commissioned he newly built semi-mechanized abattoir to ensure hygienic environment for meat processing.
Oshinowo stated that the facility would increase economic activities in the locality by creating direct and indirect jobs.
The facility is located at Owode-Elede axis with the provision of offices, generator sets, water tanks, lavatories, washrooms for workers and a space to house animals before examination by veterinary officers.
He further stated that his administration is willing to partner with the private sectors to ensure shared responsibilities towards the development of the LCDA.
The abattoir is expected to enhance quality meat processing and contribute to the economic growth of the LCDA at large.
