Nigeria coach, Jose Peseiro has called up new faces for the national team clash against Sao Tome and Principe in the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Peseiro who was just handed a contract extension recently by the NFF included only a home based player in the 23 man squad for the encounter against Sao Tome.
The Portuguese tactician invited three goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders and eight forwards for the game scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Sunday September 10.

The Super Eagles have already sealed their place at the 2024 AFCON in Ivory Coast despite having a game left to go. They defeated Sao Tome 10-0 in the first leg in Morocco.
Nigeria seat top of group A of the AFCON qualifiers with 12 points from five matches and need just a point against Sao Tome and Principe to finish top of the group because second place Guinea Bissau are on ten points and play at home against Sierra Leone.
