The re-arraignment of convicted kidnapper, Chukwudueme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans has been postponed due to the absence of the defence Counsel.

Evans, alongside co-defendant, Joseph Emeka, were scheduled for trial at the Lagos High Court on Thursday on a five-count amended charge ranging from conspiracy, murder and kidnapping.

Leader of the State Counsel, Yusuf Sule, informed the court that the defendants had applied for a plea bargain option when the case was called for re-arraignment.

Presiding over the case, Justice Adenike Coker adjoining the case till June 13 directed Evans to ensure his counsel appears in court.
