Graded road in Iba LCDA

By Motolani AbdulGafar

Three access roads have been graded by the chairman of Iba LCDA, Hon. Yisa Jubril (Abila).
The roads are Benjamin Alabi to Adeolu Gbadamosi Street, Maryola Street and Dickson Adebayo Street in Wards D & A in the council.
The roads are used by motorists as optional routes to avoid traffic on the main road, especially at the later hours of the day.
According to Abila, the grading would not be limited to the aforementioned streets, saying manpower has been moved to Ward B to do same.
He said the graded roads are not only to ease traffic but to reduce the tension of flood and potholes in linking roads to boost the economic situation of the council.
He said his administration expects that with the grading and sand filling of the roads, the socio-economic situation of the council will improve.
He urged residents to accept government projects to also benefit from such infrastructural work as a servitude to the government and a means of paying back to their community.
“I urge you to refrain from any act that may undermine the durability of these projects and give maximum cooperation.
“Several infrastructural projects are competing for taxpayers’ money, and we all have the joint responsibility of optimizing resources and protecting our infrastructure,” He said.
