Nigeria U17 women’s national team gaffer, Akeem Busari is confident of his side’s capabilities when they face Venezuela in the quarter final of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco on Sunday, November 1st.
The Flamingos scaled past Mexico to setup a last eight clash with Venezuela at the Mohammed VI Football Academy) in Salé, Rabat, Morocco.
Busari expanded the opportunity of winning the tournament to any team while insinuating that all teams are potential champions.
The experienced tactician believes both sides merited their place in the competition and he’s convinced the Flamingos will give their best against Venezuela.
“Every team in the competition is a contender; everyone could be a champion,” Busari told FIFA.
“Venezuela won their game, so they are a good side. But Nigeria are too, so on the day it’ll be decided over 90 minutes, and we’ll all give our best.”
Nigeria have scored eight goals in four games, conceded four goals and recorded two clean sheets.
Venezuela have conceded six goals, netted four and have only one clean sheet in four matches.
