Odumeje Accuses Nigerian Clerics of Staging Miracles

Popular Anambra-based cleric, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has accused some Christian clerics in Nigeria of staging miracles in their churches.
The cleric made the allegation during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he expressed concern over what he described as the growing practice of arranging miracles.
“Arrangees (staged miracles) in churches are becoming too much in Nigeria. That is why I don’t go to other clerics’ churches as guest minister. I have turned down a lot of invitations,” he said.
Odumeje maintained that the miracles performed in his church could be verified, adding that the identities of those who received them were known.
“The miracles we do here, we see their faces. You can take their names and verify,” he stated.
The cleric further claimed that no Christian cleric in Nigeria could perform the kind of miracles associated with his ministry, with the exception of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua, whom he described as his “father in the Lord”.
His comments have drawn attention to the issue of alleged staged miracles in religious gatherings, a subject that has continued to generate public debate in Nigeria.
