Lagos drivers are set to benefit from a ₦132 million reward campaign by inDrive, as the mobility platform rolls out incentives across Lagos and Abuja from October 5 to December 16, 2026, to recognise drivers’ contributions and boost their participation on the platform.

The campaign will distribute 916 prizes. These include two cars, four full academic-year school fee awards, 40 smartphones, 40 television sets and 830 shopping vouchers. Six live-broadcast draws will determine most of the winners, while the two cars will go to the drivers who complete the highest number of rides over the entire campaign period.

To qualify, drivers must reach the platinum tier on the platform. Once there, every completed ride counts as an entry. The more trips a driver completes, the greater their chances in the draws. Full terms and eligibility details are available through the inDrive app.

Country Manager for inDrive Nigeria, Timothy Oladimeji, framed the initiative as recognition of the central role drivers play. “Our drivers are at the heart of the inDrive community, and we want to continue creating meaningful ways for them to benefit from being on the platform,” he said. He noted that the company’s model already allows drivers to negotiate fares with passengers and retain a larger share of earnings due to lower service fees. The rewards campaign, he added, builds on that approach by placing tangible value—ranging from vehicles and education support to everyday household items—directly in drivers’ hands.

For many Lagos drivers operating in one of Africa’s densest and most congested cities, such incentives arrive against a backdrop of high operating costs, particularly fuel. Previous inDrive campaigns in the city have offered fuel and shopping vouchers. This latest edition raises the stakes with higher-value prizes and a longer campaign window, potentially encouraging greater activity on the platform during the final months of the year.

Whether the rewards translate into sustained loyalty or simply a temporary boost in ride volume will become clearer as the draws unfold. For now, the ₦132 million commitment signals inDrive’s intention to compete not only on passenger experience but also on the practical benefits it can deliver to the drivers who keep its service running on Lagos roads.
