CDQ Claims Superiority Over Olamide, Phyno, MI in Rap

Nigerian rapper Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known as CDQ, has claimed that he is a better rapper than veterans Olamide, Phyno and MI Abaga combined.

CDQ made the statement during a recent episode of the Faloh Frequency podcast, where he also discussed the factors he believes determine a rapper’s quality.

“I am a better rapper than Blaqbonez, Phyno, Olamide and MI combined,” the “Nowo Soke” crooner said.

The rapper maintained that commercial success and popularity should not be the sole measures of a rapper’s ability, arguing that lyrical substance and depth are more important indicators.

CDQ further claimed that his lyrical quality and depth place him above most of his colleagues in the Nigerian hip-hop scene.

His remarks have since generated reactions on social media, with some users criticising the rapper for what they described as a disrespectful comparison with established names in Nigerian rap.

The statement also attracted attention because CDQ included Olamide, Phyno and MI Abaga, all prominent figures with long-standing careers in Nigerian hip-hop, in his comparison.

The rapper has, however, maintained his position and has not publicly retracted or clarified the statement despite the reactions it generated online.
