Dangote Named Grand Patron of Global Entrepreneurship Festival

Africa’s leading industrialist and President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has been appointed Grand Patron of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival.

The appointment was formally communicated during a meeting between Dangote and the festival’s board on Friday, according to a statement issued on Saturday.

The new role places Dangote at the forefront of the festival, which is focused on promoting entrepreneurship, supporting enterprise development and creating opportunities for businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Dangote, whose business interests span manufacturing, infrastructure and other major industrial sectors, brings extensive experience in building businesses and expanding investment across Africa.

Although the position is primarily ceremonial and does not involve the day-to-day running of the festival, the organisers said Dangote’s experience and standing would add value to its broader objectives.
