Carter Efe Vows To Beat Speed Darlington ‘To Embarrassment’ In October 1 Bout

Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has vowed to beat entertainer Speed Darlington when they face each other in the boxing ring on October 1, saying comments made about singer Burna Boy have added to his motivation.

Carter made the threat during a heated face off with Speed Darlington ahead of their celebrity boxing bout, tagged ‘Chaos in the Ring’, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.

During the encounter, Speed Darlington was heard telling Carter, “Na beating I go use beat you.”

Carter responded by questioning why Speed was standing close to a bouncer and challenged him to face him without security.

“Why you dey run follow bouncer? Make bouncer leave the two of us. I wan show you say I be 24-year-old boy,” Carter said.

Speaking to Hip TV ahead of the bout, Carter also claimed that Speed Darlington would not be able to expose him, while suggesting that he was the one who knew other people’s secrets.

“Speed Darlington can never expose me. I’m the one with people’s secrets,” he said.

Carter later explained that Speed’s remarks about Burna Boy had become one of the major reasons he was determined to win the fight.

“The major reason I want to beat Speed Darlington is because he called Burna Boy gay. How can he be saying it to a big artiste like that? If I don’t stop him, he’ll say it to Davido too,” Carter said.

The content creator said he was not simply aiming for victory, adding that he wanted to defeat Speed Darlington in a manner he described as embarrassing.

The bout, tagged ‘Chaos in the Ring’, is scheduled to take place on October 1 at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
