The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, coordinating maintenance personnel and ensuring that facilities, equipment and other operational assets remain in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to:

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
• Monitor the condition and performance of equipment, facilities and operational systems.
• Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Assign tasks to maintenance staff and monitor their performance.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance work with technicians and external service providers where necessary.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment issues.
• Monitor the use of maintenance tools, materials and spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and maintenance procedures.
• Report major faults, maintenance requirements and operational concerns to management.
• Help minimise equipment downtime and prevent avoidable breakdowns.

Requirements

Candidates for the role should ideally have:

• Relevant experience in maintenance supervision or a related position.
• Good knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a team effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
• Good attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
