U20 WWC: Aduku Upbeat Over Falconets Prospects In Poland

Nigeria U20 women’s national team tactician, Moses Aduku is optimistic of the team’s chances of finishing strong at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The Falconets will trade tackles with Spain in the group F opener on Monday , September 7 at the Arena Sosnowiec Stadium, Poland.
Aduku believes the Nigeria friendly game encounter against Korea was a good test for the players while he understands that his side should have won the game if not for some missed chances.
“For me, the game was so good. We lost one or two scoring chances to win the game, but all the same, I respect the Korean team. They are also a good side,” Aduku said.
He certified the Falconets ready to take on the rest of the World at the U20 mundial starting with the crunchy tie against Spain.
“Yes, we are ready. That’s why we are in Poland. We are here to take one game at a time, and we have no other game but to play against Spain. So, we are ready.”
Following the conclusion of the friendly games, the experienced coach disclosed that the Falconets focus have now been shifted to their game against Spain as he insisted there are no injury concerns related to any player in the team.
“So far, so good. We are done with our friendly games, and for me, we are good. There are no injury worries, and my girls are ready. Therefore, we’re waiting for the 7th against Spain.”
The last meeting between both sides was at the quarter final of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in 2018 where Spain defeated Nigeria 2-1 at the Guy-Piriou Stadium in Brittany, France.
