Egbin Power Opens Scholarship Programme for Students in Host Communities
Egbin Power Plc has launched the 11th edition of its annual scholarship programme.
This initiative is aimed at renewing its commitment to expanding access to quality education and developing young talents within its host communities.
The 2026 initiative, established under the company’s Personal Corporate Social Responsibility (PCSR) programme, is designed to support outstanding pupils and students in primary and secondary schools across Egbin Power’s host communities.
More than 250 students participated in the opening pre-test exercise, marking the beginning of this year’s selection process. Successful candidates will benefit from educational support intended to ease the cost of quality schooling while encouraging academic excellence.
More Than a Scholarship
This year’s programme comes with a broader development package. In addition to the scholarship opportunity, participants will take part in an education fair, boot camp, mentorship sessions and playgroup activities.
The activities are designed not only to improve academic performance but also to build confidence, discipline, leadership skills and other essential life skills that can prepare the beneficiaries for future educational and career opportunities.

The scholarship is targeted at outstanding pupils and students from primary and secondary schools within Egbin Power’s host communities. The communities identified by the company include Egbin, Ijede and Ipakan.
The programme therefore primarily serves students connected to these communities rather than functioning as a general nationwide scholarship open to all Nigerian students.
