TAMPAN Announces Death of Actress Atinuke Kareem After Cancer Battle

Nollywood actress Atinuke Remilekun Kareem, popularly known as Atinuke Kareem, has died after a long battle with breast cancer.

 

The actress reportedly passed away on Tuesday, months after appealing to the public for financial assistance to support her treatment.

 

The death was announced by Owolabi Ajasa, Governor of the Ogun State chapter of the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN.

 

In a statement shared on Instagram, Ajasa appreciated individuals who supported Atinuke during her illness through financial contributions, prayers and encouragement.

 

He said despite the collective efforts and prayers for her recovery, the actress had passed away.

 

“Sadly, despite all our efforts and prayers, Atinuke has passed on and answered the final call.

 

“We cannot question the Almighty God. We can only submit to His will and pray that He grants her eternal rest and gives her family, colleagues, and loved ones the strength to bear this painful loss,” he wrote.

 

Atinuke’s death comes about 4 months after she reportedly sought financial assistance from the public to help fund her cancer treatment.

 

Her death has left colleagues and fans mourning the loss of the actress, whose struggle with the disease had drawn support from members of the public and the entertainment industry.
