Popular Nigerian TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has revealed that he bought his TikTok account for ₦100,000 when it had only about 30,000 followers.

The content creator made the revelation while reflecting on his rise on the social media platform, where he has now amassed about 17 million followers.

According to Peller, the people who previously owned the account did not believe it had much potential. He, however, said he saw an opportunity and was confident that he could transform it into a successful platform.

Peller said his growth was largely driven by his belief in himself and the effort he invested in building his brand.

He stressed that the TikTok account did not make him successful, arguing instead that it was his creativity, consistency and determination that turned the account into a major platform.

“When I bought the account, it had about 30,000 followers and I paid ₦100,000 for it. The people who owned it before did not believe in it, but I believed in myself,” he said.

Peller’s account has since grown from the 30,000 followers he inherited to approximately 17 million followers, making him one of Nigeria’s most prominent TikTok personalities.

As part of his celebration of the milestone, the content creator also announced plans to give ₦2 million to his followers.

His story has highlighted the potential of social media platforms to become powerful career and business tools when combined with consistency, creativity and a strong personal brand.
