A Nigerian married woman has gone viral after advising couples not to allow social media trends and online opinions to influence or damage their marriages.

In a video circulating across social media platforms, the woman said many couples are beginning to measure their relationships against internet conversations, warning that such comparisons can create unnecessary problems in marriages.

According to her, she has chosen to continue respecting and supporting her husband regardless of the opinions shared online.

“If you like, allow social media to destroy your marriage for you. Let me tell you, you see my husband, I will respect him to the fullest,” she said.

She argued that not every relationship advice shared on social media is suitable for every marriage, urging couples to be careful about whose opinions they adopt.

The woman added that she is willing to do whatever her husband needs from her, insisting that criticism from strangers on the internet would not change the way she treats her spouse.

Her comments have sparked mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised her message, saying marriages should be built on mutual understanding rather than online validation, others argued that respect in marriage should be reciprocal and not one-sided.

The video has since fueled another round of conversations about the growing influence of social media on relationships and the pressure couples face from online opinions and trends.
