Solar Installation Technician Vacancy in Lagos
Power Solution Mall is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Solar Installation Technician/Renewable Energy Specialist as part of its efforts to strengthen its technical team in Lagos.
The position is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ikeja and is open to candidates with at least one year of relevant experience in solar installation and maintenance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, batteries, UPS units and other related electrical equipment.
The role will also involve conducting site assessments, testing solar systems, diagnosing faults and carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
The technician will be expected to ensure that all installations meet required safety and quality standards while also providing technical support and guidance to customers when necessary.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of solar energy systems, inverters, batteries and electrical wiring. They should also be able to read technical drawings and operate electrical testing tools.
Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills are required, while the ability to work independently and as part of a team will be important. Valid driving experience is listed as an added advantage.
Applicants should possess an O’Level, OND, HND, B.Sc. or technical certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related discipline.
Candidates are expected to have one to three years of hands-on experience in solar installation and maintenance. Relevant professional certifications may provide an additional advantage.
The successful applicant will work with Power Solution Mall at its store located at 5 Oyetubo Street, off Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos, close to the SLOT HQ office complex and Ikeja Bus Stop.
