Ultra Basketball Championship: Team Vortes, Nova Emerge Champions Of Season Zero

Team Vortex and Nova emerged victorious in the maiden edition of the Ultra Basketball Championship Season Zero in Lagos.
The Ultra Basketball Championship inaugural edition was held at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) basketball court at the National Stadium, Surulere.
The tournament witnessed brilliant youngsters who showcased their skills, talents as winners emerged in the men and women’s categories.
The one day basketball competition drew the attention of basketball veterans, legends, administrators, coaches, enthusiasts and elite referees as the grassroots players were given the platform to further harness their talents and productivity.
The Championship was played in a round robin format to test the creativity, skills, physicality and competitiveness of the teams who played their hearts out for the coveted prize.
Team Vortex was crowned the King of the men’s category as they won all the three teams in contention with an entertaining overtime victory against Team Flux to clinch the title of the Ultra Basketball Championship Season Zero.
Team Apex came second, while Team Flux and Surge finished in third and fourth position consecutively.
In the women’s category, Team Nova subjugated their opponents with dazzling skills and shooting prowess to seal the title of the women’s category.
Team Eclipse settled for the second position, while Team Halo and Ember came in third and fourth.
The success of the maiden edition of the Ultra Basketball Championship Season Zero will spur competition for the grassroots players ahead of time Season 1 scheduled to hold for November in Lagos as organizers tends to expand the scope of the competition for the development of the next generation of superstars across the South Western states of Nigeria.
