SJ OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup Matchday Five Reveals Explosive Results

Matchday Five of the SJ OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup delivered another exciting round of fixtures, featuring thrilling contests, narrow victories, and impressive performances across the tournament’s age categories at the Jide Sanwo-Olu Arena, Ilupeju, OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA.
The U19 clash between Oskay International and HOP FC produced one of the standout games of the round, with both teams battling to an entertaining 2-2 draw. In a match filled with attacking quality and determination, the sides exchanged goals throughout before settling for a point apiece, keeping their qualification hopes alive.
Action in the U8 category saw Better Tomorrow secure a hard-earned 2-1 victory over HB Utility. After taking the lead, Better Tomorrow displayed composure and resilience to withstand late pressure and claim all three points. Varsity FA also celebrated success in the division, coming from behind to defeat Fortune FA 2-1. A spirited second-half display and clinical finishing completed an impressive turnaround for the young side.
Adeola FA delivered a disciplined performance in the U13 category, recording a comfortable 2-0 win over FC Rainbow. Strong defensive organisation, coupled with clinical finishing in front of goal, earned them a deserved clean sheet and maximum points.
Varsity FA continued their impressive run in the U15 category with a narrow 1-0 victory over Hakade 2020. A solitary strike proved decisive as they produced a well-organised defensive display to preserve their advantage and secure another valuable win.
In the Women’s category, Jojo Queens edged Lakeside Queens 1-0 in a closely contested encounter. A single goal was enough to separate the two sides, with Jojo Queens showing excellent defensive discipline to protect their lead until the final whistle.
Overall, Matchday Five once again highlighted the quality and competitiveness of the SJ OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup. Varsity FA emerged as one of the biggest winners of the round, collecting six points across two age groups, while several other teams showcased a blend of attacking flair, tactical discipline, and defensive resilience.
