Maverick singer and rapper Speed Darlington has opened up about his personal life, expressing disappointment over being unmarried and childless as he approaches 60.

In a recent video shared online, the Akpi crooner said he desires more fulfilment in life, insisting that at his age he should have a wife and children.

“I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life,” he said.

The singer added that his aspirations now extend beyond material achievements.

“I want family, freedom and respect,” he stated.

A few years ago, Speed Darlington publicly announced that he was searching for a wife and listed the qualities he wanted in a partner.

According to him, his ideal wife should be dark-skinned, between 18 and 23 years old, at least 5 feet 8 inches tall, weigh less than 150 pounds, and be fluent in both English and Igbo.

Despite the public appeal, the entertainer is yet to find a life partner.
