Sanwo-Olu Applauds Cultural Display at Fanti Carnival
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, on Sunday attended the Fanti Carnival held at Tafawa Balewa Square, describing the event as a vibrant showcase of culture and heritage.
The governor said the carnival featured colourful displays, coordinated parades, music, and dance performances, highlighting the creativity and cultural identity of participants.
He noted that historic communities including Campos, Lafiaji, Okoo Faji, Okepopo, Olowogbowo, Epetedo, and Isale Eko were well represented, adding that their participation made the event more significant.

Sanwo Olu commended the energy of young people who contributed to the performances and praised the overall organisation of the carnival.
He stressed that such cultural events play an important role in preserving heritage and promoting unity among residents.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that celebrate culture and strengthen social cohesion across the state.
