Two suspects accused of phone theft, Kehinde Idowu and Maxwell Adegoke, have been arraigned for court trial in Badagry Lagos.

Idowu, 22, and Adegoke of age 23, were arraigned by the police at the Magistrates’ Court in Badagry where the security agency claimed that they stole a luxury phone and threatened the owner, one Michael Eluwan, of his life, in violation of the laws of the state.

Police Prosecutor, Friday Maneh, said that the duo stole an iPhone 15 Plus worth N700,000 on March 21 at Star Light Bus Stop, Morogbo, Lagos.

Maneh added that the men conspired to commit the felony, putting the complainant in fear, violating Sections 411, 287, and 56 of the Lagos Criminal Laws, 2015.

The court granted bail of N300,000 to the defendants, each with two sureties, one of whom must be a community leader, and adjourned the case to May 18.
