Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola Reacts to Jos Attack, Urges Industry Reflection

Veteran Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has called on her colleagues in the movie industry to reflect on their political stance, especially those still supporting the All Progressives Congress, in light of the country’s security challenges.

Speaking in a video message, Aiyeola expressed concern over the recent attack in Jos, which occurred during Palm Sunday. She noted that such incidents are becoming less talked about, despite their seriousness.

She urged fellow actors not to allow personal gain or influence shape their decisions, but instead to act based on conscience and long-term impact.

According to her, while everyone has the right to their political choices, it is important to think about the future and the kind of society being built.

Aiyeola also encouraged Nigerians, both at home and on social media, to speak up responsibly and reflect deeply on national issues.

She maintained that her message was not aimed at criticising anyone personally, but rather a call for awareness and thoughtful decision-making in a critical time.
