The event is being organised by a committee of friends and associates for the late Mr Abayomi Kareem Oni-Orisan, popularly known as Kalokalo, and Alhaja Kudirat Owolabi, also known as C-Cash.
Oni-Orisan, a former councillor in Ikorodu Local Government Area, and Owolabi, a former Deputy Executive Secretary of the council, both passed away over a month ago.
Echonews reports that the commemorative activities are being coordinated by a committee led by Hon. Sesan Dada, a former chairmanship aspirant in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, with the aim of honouring the deceased and raising support for their families.
According to the organisers, the memorial walk will commence at 7:30 a.m. from the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat and proceed along TOS Benson Road and other major routes within the axis.
The procession will terminate at the Ita Elewa Youth Centre, where special prayer sessions will be held by both Christian and Muslim clerics for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
The programme will also feature tributes from selected individuals who will reflect on the lives and contributions of the late politicians.
The committee has called on members of the public to participate in the memorial activities as a mark of respect and solidarity with the families of the deceased.
