The exercise, which took place at the council’s Hallowed Chamber, formed part of the legislative process aimed at assessing the competence and suitability of the nominees before their confirmation and eventual assumption of office.
During the session, lawmakers examined the academic and professional credentials of the nominees while engaging them on matters relating to governance, administrative experience and their readiness to contribute to the development of the council.
Speaking after the exercise, the Council Leader, Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, explained that the screening was necessary to ensure that only qualified and capable individuals are appointed to support the administration in delivering effective governance and grassroots development.
