The Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Prince Adedayo Ladega, has commissioned the rehabilitated CAC Road in the Benson Area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, fulfilling his administration’s promise to improve grassroots infrastructure.
The road project, which had been abandoned for several years, marks a renewed commitment by the Ladega-led administration to restore critical infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and improve living standards for residents of the area.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Prince Ladega expressed satisfaction with the completion of the project, noting that the rehabilitated road would ease movement, boost commercial activities, and contribute to the overall wellbeing of residents.
He urged members of the community to take collective ownership of the facility by ensuring its proper use and maintenance.
The Chairman was accompanied by prominent political leaders, including Rep. Babajimi Benson and Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, who commended the initiative, describing it as a demonstration of responsive and people-oriented governance. They encouraged residents to continue supporting the council’s vision for sustainable development.
The leaders also used the occasion to call on residents to participate actively in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership e-registration exercise, stressing the importance of grassroots political participation.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the CAC Benson Area Community Development Association (CDA), Alhaji Murisiku Ajisebutu, alongside youth representatives, applauded Prince Ladega for fulfilling his promise to rehabilitate the road. He pledged the community’s continued support for the administration and encouraged youths to engage more actively in governance.
The commissioning of the CAC Road represents the fulfillment of a long-standing community need and reinforces the Ikorodu Local Government’s focus on people-centered development.
