Popular Nigerian gospel singer Bunmi Akinnanu, renowned for her hit song “Omije Ojumi,” has passed away. The news was confirmed on Tuesday evening by a close source familiar with her family, though an official statement has yet to be released.
Akinnanu had been battling a serious leg ailment, prompting months of public appeals for prayers and divine intervention. In late 2025, a video from G.F. David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, circulated online, showing her seated with her leg extended while prayers were offered for her recovery.
