AFCON 2025: Ndidi Dismisses Suspicious Pressure In Super Eagles Camp

Nigeria skipper, Wilfred Ndidi has denied that the national team are under any pressure to perform at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The Super Eagles will open their campaign against Tanzania at the Fez stadium, Fes as they charged forward to make a statement in the continental showpiece.

Ndidi is optimistic about the Eagles defeating Tanzania in their first game at the mundial while he believes will set the team on a boosted rampage in subsequent matches.

He said the players are focused on the task at hand as Nigeria targets a win against Tanzania.

“The spirit in camp is very high and this game is very important for us, it’s a game that sets the momentum,” he said.

“Everyone is ready, from the players to the staff, everyone is focus on the this game which is very important.”

The 29 year old midfielder added, the experience of senior players in the squad will play a vital role in the unity of the players.

“To be honest there’s no pressure, we have senior players in the team helping out together with the coach and manager and I’ve been in the system long before I became captain so there’s no pressure.”
