“They Destroyed My Marriage”: 2Baba Speaks Out on Family Conflict

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has alleged that persistent interference from members of his family contributed to the breakdown of his marriage to actress Annie Idibia.
In a widely circulated emotional video, the singer said the family’s actions have escalated beyond normal disagreements and are now threatening his current relationship with a woman identified as Natasha. He claimed that Natasha has begun receiving death threats due to the ongoing conflict.
2Baba accused certain family members of spreading false narratives, fuelling internal disputes, and “destroying” his marriage with Annie through constant intrusion. He warned that the same behaviour is now being directed at his new partner.
The award-winning musician stressed that he is mentally sound and capable of making decisions about his own life, dismissing efforts by some relatives to portray him as unstable or vulnerable.
Expressing frustration, he said those claiming to “save” him are instead causing emotional harm, escalating tensions, and putting Natasha at risk.
He appealed to his family and the public to stop the harassment, refrain from circulating unverified claims, and allow him to live his life peacefully. 2Baba added that he intends to speak further on the matter in the coming days, saying he can no longer remain silent as the situation spirals out of control.
