The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has praised President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing his fiscal agenda as a “revolution rebuilding Nigeria brick by brick.”
The party also commended the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for what it called a visionary and reform-driven approach under the Renewed Hope administration.
In a statement issued on Monday, Lagos APC spokesperson Mogaji Seye Oladejo said that despite global economic turbulence, Nigeria has remained resilient due to “deliberate financial engineering driven by sound policy, strategic management, and disciplined revenue administration.”
“The ongoing transformation of the FIRS is a textbook example of how institutional reforms, when anchored on competence and integrity, can become the engine room of nation building,” Oladejo said.
He noted that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda places revenue stability at the heart of national sovereignty, freeing the country from a “perpetual cycle of borrowing and dependency.”
“Each kobo collected through tax reforms is being reinvested into the people – in roads, schools, healthcare, security, and social investment programmes,” he added.
“The Renewed Hope vision is simple but profound: to build a nation that funds its own future.”
Oladejo said the reforms at FIRS represent the foundation of a new economic order that ensures fiscal independence and long-term prosperity for Nigerians.
