Yemi Solade Questions Nollywood Earnings, Says No Actress Can Buy G-Wagon From Acting Alone

Nollywood veteran Yemi Solade has stirred conversation after claiming that none of his female colleagues in the industry can afford a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) strictly from acting.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, Solade argued that the Nigerian film industry does not generate enough income to support such extravagant purchases.
“It is possible from producing but not from acting, except they have side hustles. Because how much are they going to pay you for acting, ₦50 million?” he said.
The actor further suggested that some luxury cars owned by actresses might have been given as gifts, adding: “Yes now, dem fit gift person G-Wagon.”
Solade has been outspoken in recent months. He was recently in the news after revealing that his life improved when he stopped attending church.
