Akinsanya Consoles Arrow of God Orphanage After Devastating Fire Outbreak

In a heartfelt show of compassion, the Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Senior Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, alongside the Legislative Arm and members of the council’s management team, paid a consoling visit to the Arrow of God Orphanage Home in Obadore following a devastating fire outbreak that left the home shaken.
During the visit, Akinsanya expressed deep sympathy over the tragic incident, describing it as a painful experience for both the children and caregivers. He extended practical support by donating essential relief materials including foodstuffs, toiletries, and financial assistance to help cushion the impact of the disaster.
While presenting the donations, the council boss reassured the orphanage community that they were not alone in their time of trial. He prayed against any recurrence of such tragedy and encouraged the children and caregivers to remain strong.
The manager of the home, Evangelist Anayawu, who received the relief materials on behalf of the orphanage, expressed gratitude to the chairman and his team for standing by them during such a difficult period.
She also recounted the harrowing moment of the fire, revealing that the orphanage’s founder, Mrs. Deborah Chinwe Ogo, was trapped in the inferno and is currently receiving medical care in hospital.
Moved by her courage and sacrifice, Akinsanya offered prayers for her speedy recovery, asking God to grant her healing and strength.
Among his entourage were the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Tajudeen Ayodele Olorunfemi; Councillor representing Akesan/Obadore Ward, Hon. Rashidat Muhammed; the Council Manager, Mrs. Modupeola Leoso; Head of Human Resources, Mrs. Yemisi Omogbare; the Council Treasurer, Mrs. Mopelola Dejonwo, and other management team members.
