Lawmaker Commiserates Families Of Casualties In Lekki-Expressway Autocrash

A member of the House of Representatives representing Epe Federal Constituency, Wale Raji, has commiserated with families of casualties who lost their lives following an autocrash along Lekki-Expressway.

Raji, who described the incident as heartbreaking, expressed sympathy to the aggrieved families and wishing the injured persons quick recovery.

He stated that the incident is a huge loss to the community and Lagos State at large and added, “I received with deep shock and sadness the tragic news of the fatal accident which which happened on Monday.

“The heartbreaking incident has claimed several precious lives, leaving families and our entire constituency in mourning.”

The legislator cautioned on the need to effect safety the roads saying, “I urge drivers to adopt a culture of safety and discipline on the highways.

“This tragic occurrence is yet another sober reminder of the need for caution. I appeal to all drivers, particularly those who ply the Lekki-Epe Expressway, to adhere strictly to speed limits, avoid reckless overtaking, and ensure their vehicles are roadworthy.”

Raji also called on relevant authorities and transport unions to intensify safety campaigns in order to reduce avoidable road crashes.

“As representatives of the people, we remain committed to advocating for improved road infrastructure, safety measures, and policies that protect commuters,” he assured the residents in Epe.
