‘Who Posted That Video?’ – Simi Wants Airport Staff Held Accountable

Nigerian music star Simi has called for sanctions against airport staff who leaked a video showing Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson’s indecent exposure.
In an Instagram story, Simi questioned why Emmanson was being punished for her actions while those who filmed and circulated the footage without censoring the explicit parts faced no consequences.
She stressed that posting the clip without blurring Emmanson’s private parts amounted to a violation of privacy and should not go unpunished.
“Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, recorded her being exposed like that, and then posted it without editing out this exposure or blurring it out. I personally want to know who posted that video and why no one is holding him/her accountable. Because they will face the law.”
“But voluntarily posting her half-naked for millions of people to see when less than 10 people actually witnessed it in the first place deserves punishment too because you cannot condemn one madness and leave another one,” she said.
Emmanson, a passenger on Ibom Air Flight Q153, reportedly clashed with cabin crew and ground staff after refusing to switch off her phone before takeoff. The confrontation escalated, leading to her removal from the aircraft, with a video of the incident later going viral on social media.
