Lagos Arrests 63 Commercial Motorcyclists For Plying Restricted Routes

The Lagos State Government has impounded 63 motorcycles from commercial riders for plying restricted roads in the area.
The state government through it’s Taskforce agency intensified its clampdown on commercial motorcyclists found culpable of operating on the roads warning that offenders will be arrested and prosecuted.
The Director of Press & Public Affairs of the agency, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, described the enforcement to be part of a wider effort to curb the prohibited activities by the riders in ensuring nomalcy in Lagos roads
Abdulraheem mentioned that the riders have been warned not operate along highways, bridges, and other restricted areas.
The Taskforce Chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele, disclosed that the latest operation was conducted in areas such as Mile 2 Oke bridge, Mile 2 under bridge, Berger Suya, Amuwo Odofin, and Apple Junction in the Festac axis.
“The ban on Okada operations in certain areas was put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all Lagosians, and we will not tolerate any breach of this order.
