Man Apprehended For Open Defecation On Ikeja Bridge

A man who has contravened the Lagos State Environmental Laws has been arrested following an act of public defecation in Ikeja area.
The arrestee was caught in the act at Oba Akran Bridge and arrested by officers of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC, on Wednesday.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said, “Adeniran was arrested on Wednesday, July 9, contravening the laws of the state and will be prosecuted in accordance with the relevant environmental laws of Lagos State.”
” He was apprehended this morning by operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, while defecating on Oba Akran Bridge, Ikeja.”
Wahab bemoaned the occurences of disregard to the tidy environment measures put up by the state. He reiterated that offenders will be made to face the wrath of the law and possible stiffer enforcement on violators.
