Lagos Special Offense Unit Raid Criminal Hideout In Victoria Island

Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit raid criminal hideout arrested 49 suspects during an early morning raid in Victoria Island.

The operation, led by the agency’s chairman, Chief Superintendent of Police Adetayo Akerele, began early 1am yesterday Thursday june19, targeting areas like Maroko Sandfill, Bonny Camp and nearby communities known for illegal activities.

The chief Superintendent said on a post on X that the raid was based on complaints and tips from residents.

49 people were arrested, while 48 were men and one a woman.The chairman said the goal was to clear out criminals like street thugs and pickpockets disturbing the peace in the area.
