Following a convincing victory over Nasarawa, Taiwo Oladipupo, coach of the Lagos female volleyball team, declared that no team is unbeatable at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State.

Oladipupo praised his team’s adherence to tactical instructions and their ability to maintain control from the outset, which led to improved consistency on the court.

He noted that correcting errors from their first match made the game significantly easier, allowing his players to raise their performance level and secure a straight-sets victory over Kaduna.

“The ladies played exactly as I instructed, and we won the game with ease. There’s no team that’s special here. I believe my team can overcome any opponent, and I don’t give preference to any side.”

The Eko girls decisively defeated Kaduna 3-0 in their second group match and are now focused on advancing to the next round as they prepare for their upcoming clash with host team, Ogun.

In basketball, Team Lagos stunned Oyo 55-46 at the Alake Sports Centre, showcasing their prowess on the court. Not to be outdone, the male handball team continued their strong run, defeating Osun 29-18 after an impressive 25-24 win against Sokoto in their opening game.
