EFCC Arrests 120 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Lagos

The Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has made arrest of suspected persons, numbered 120, during an enforcement raid, over accusation of contravening the Commission’s regulations by indulging in cyber related offences.

The EFCC stated that in a massive haul on Monday, the arrestees consisting of 95 males and 25 females, by its Zonal Directorate 01 following an intelligence through surveillance.

The Commission’s Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that items recovered during the enforcement include 26 exotic cars, expensive jewelries, smartphones, laptops and other incriminating documents.

Oyewale thereafter mentioned that the suspects are put on prosecution and would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

The Commission’s Spokesperson reassured its keen interest in curbing cyber and financial crimes. He urged the public, particularly young ones to shun crimes and focus on ways to contribute towards the development of the nation.
