Lagos Assembly Aims Economic Advancement Through Research Trust Fund Bill

The Lagos House of Assembly has intensified efforts to pass the proposed Research Trust Fund Bill in the state.
The parliamentarians said that the bill, when implemented, will add growth to the state’s economy and technological advancement.
The red chamber commited further activities in enacting the bill to a Sub-Committee in the House.
A member, Gbolahan Yishawu, who sponsored the bill, said that the measure borders on reforming the state’s allocation, management and administration plans and also ensuring scientific growth in the metropolis.
Yishawu, who represents Eti-Osa Constituency 02 at the stressed that the bill will also create an avenue for the state becoming an economic hub in the country. He added: “This bill, when well structured, would enhance governance, stimulate industrialization, and position the state as a leader in innovation.
“When passed, it would touch every facet of Lagos.”
