Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Shines At Destination Lagos Awards 2024, Takes Home Top Honors

Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, under the dynamic leadership of Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA has once again demonstrated excellence by clinching the State Tourism Product Initiative Award of Excellence.

This prestigious award recognizes the LCDA as the best in Lagos State for promoting cultural heritage and tourism.

Adding to the accolades, Ikosi-Isheri emerged victorious in the highly competitive Ojuibile Eko Beauty Pageant 2024, further cementing its reputation as a hub for cultural pride and innovation.

The LCDA representative in the peagant, Miss Haruna Zainab, emerged winner among her contemporaries, and was crowned “Queen of OjuIbile Eko Beauty Pageant Y2024”. Representatives of Epe Local Government and Ajeromi Ifelodun LG also shined as first and second runner ups respectively.

The Chairman was ably represented at the event by Deputy Chairman,Mr. Olayinka Ogunleye, Council Leader Mr. Yunusa Salami, Chairperson Mrs. Muibat Balogun JP, Mr. Olamilekan Onikosi, and the Head of the Tourism Unit.

This recognition underscores the Chairman’s visionary leadership and relentless efforts in showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Ikosi-Isheri.

Her commitment to strengthening tourism and preserving cultural identity has brought pride and prestige to the LCDA, setting a benchmark for other local governments across Lagos State.
