Security Operatives Uncovers Suspected Ritualist Shrine in Ikosi-Ejinrin

A suspected shrine to be used by kidnappers and ritualists has been uncovered in Ketu Ereyun area of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
The discovery, made by security operatives Yesterday Monday, prompted an immediate inspection by the Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, alongside his committee members and law enforcement agents.
The site contained a variety of fetish items believed to be linked to ritual practices.
Anomo emphasized the importance of community vigilance, particularly as the festive season approaches.
“This alarming discovery underscores the ongoing security challenges in our community. I urge all residents to remain watchful and to report any unusual activities to the authorities without delay,” he stated.
Anomo called for strengthened cooperation between residents and security agencies to ensure a safer environment. “Tackling insecurity requires collective efforts. By working closely with law enforcement, we can safeguard lives and properties in our environment,” he said.
The council Chairman also used the opportunity to remind citizens to remain cautious during the holiday period and to promptly alert authorities to any suspicious occurrences.
Residents praised the Chairman’s proactive approach, acknowledging his commitment to addressing the security challenges in the area. His swift actions, they said, have reinforced confidence in local leadership and the safety of the community.
