A 28-year-old man, Stanley Amos, is facing trial for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl in Badagry, Lagos.
At his arraignement at the Badagry Magistrates’ Court, Amos was remanded at the Awarijigoh Correctional Centre after his case was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP for legal advice.
Court Magistrate, Patrick Adekomaiya ordered the his remand after pleading not guilty to defilement charge.
The suspect is to be re-arraigned on November 25.
Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, AyodeleAdeosun, mentioned commited the alleged offence on September 22 at about 3pm, ag Caroline Area of Aradagun in Badagry.
Adeosun stated that the offence violates sections 137 and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
