Nigerian music superstar Davido has called on fans and well-wishers to pray for renowned music video director TG Omori, who is currently battling kidney disease and undergoing a transplant.
The news of TG Omori’s hospitalization due to kidney failure has sent shockwaves across the internet, following his recent absence from the public eye, which had sparked concerns among fans.
Despite the initial failure of the transplant procedure, even after receiving a kidney donation from his brother, TG Omori recently assured his supporters that he remains hopeful and determined to recover. In a show of solidarity, Davido took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to request prayers for Omori’s recovery, writing simply: “Prayers up for TG ❤️.”
The heartfelt appeal by Davido has sparked a wave of reactions from fans and fellow celebrities. Among the responses, user Al Varo X commented, “Wizkid can’t do the same smh I knew that guy was a fraud,” while another user, Ruth, expressed her support by writing, “Praying he comes out strong. Amen. 🙏🏽❤️“
Another fan, Rarebreed, suggested, “Prayers up amen 🙏🏾 However, I suggest those of you who own jets or can afford to fly him, find a way to fly him somewhere for a proper transplant. Not a country where NEPA fit take light in the middle of the transplant.”
Haiwe also added, “Thoughts and prayers for him for whatever he’s going through right now!!”
TG Omori, known for directing some of Nigeria’s biggest music videos, remains in the thoughts of many as the entertainment industry and fans rally around him during this difficult time.
