Ejigbo PCRC Organises TRECO Summit

The Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Ejigbo Division Organises a One day Treco Summit On Rules Guiding Traffic, and Transportation in Lagos State.

(DCO), SP Inocent representing (DPO), CSP Mariam Shonubi of Ejigbo police command gave a welcome remark by appreciating Ejigbo PCRC for the support given to the Police Division and safety of Ejigbo residents, he stated Treco stands to assist the police and other traffic agencies.

(DTO) SP Danjuma in his words appealed to the people of Ejigbo to join PCRC and note that advantage of PCRC is to know more peoples while disadvantages are Manpower, receiving more calls, and attending meetings often and often.

LASTMA Modupe highlights the duties of LASTMA is not to direct motor on the road but to enforce road laws,he added that people should know that “Driving is a tiny line between life and motor”, never to struggle on the road nor judge a book by its cover with car. Residents should obey the rules of regulations guiding driving.

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps representative (DCG) Jinadu Sulaimon stated that security is everybody’s business, Nigeria have been trying to minimize crime activities in the communities,he urged the PCRC Ejigbo Division to let the collaboration with the security unit continue .

Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) CS Makanjuola Rassaq described the job of LNSC is to assist police in their job not to compete with them,and information are relate with the necessary officers of the law, he urged community cooperation to work effectively

The Chairman, PCRC Ejigbo Division, Apostle Adebayo Osho in his closing remark appreciate all officers and security agencies present for the summit and give kudos to the Traffic Corps Unit (TRECO) committee for organizing the summit, Apostle Adebayo noted that the summit is the third seminar,firstly was See Something Say Something while second was For the youth “Say No To Drug”,and the third is Treco. He added that the gap between the community and the police is called PCRC.
