Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Council Manager, Mrs Afolake Otenaike, has expressed enthusiasm about the positive influence of the Odi-Olowo Chairman’s Cup (OCC) on the local youth.
Otenaike believes that the tournament is instrumental in keeping young people off the streets and away from crime.
She is particularly excited about the platform it provides for female footballers, seeing it as a catalyst for their personal and professional growth.
The council manager is determined to change the negative perception of Mushin and highlight the community’s potential.
“We want to empower our youth, discover their talents, and showcase the positive aspects of Mushin,” she said.
“By supporting women’s football, we hope to inspire these young athletes to reach their full potential and represent Nigeria on the global stage.”
Otenaike concluded by emphasizing that Mushin is a community brimming with talent and potential, urging residents and outsiders alike to recognize its positive attributes.
