The Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman, Mr. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID), has been commended by the Community Development Committee (CDC) for his substantial support in the 2024 Ojokoro Community Day Celebration.
The Chairman provided financial backing for the construction of a modern community hall and donated a power plant to ensure a consistent power supply upon the hall’s completion.
CDC Chairman Barr. S.O. Alabi expressed gratitude for the council’s contributions and encouraged others to follow HID Tijani’s example.
Tijani reaffirmed his dedication to public service, announcing that seven roads will undergo upgrades, construction, and rehabilitation. Contractors are currently working on Kuburat Agbedeyi Street and Olaitan Mustapha Close, with additional projects set to begin in the coming weeks.
“We have put these plans in place, and regarding Powerline Road, we will continue to advocate for its construction. The government’s concern is its proximity to high-tension lines. Let’s remain positive and prayerful for the government to reconsider this area. For our community, I will still donate more to our CDC fundraising,” Tijani said.
