AFCON: Nigeria Beware, Guinea Bissau Is A Threat – Moses Simon
By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria tricky winger, Moses Simon has revealed the threat posed by Guinea Bissau ahead of their Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) final group A clash at the Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
The Eagles have four points from two matches and must win the encounter against Guinea Bissau to have a comfortable position ahead of the round of 16 tie.
Simon said the team will keep giving their best and not underrate their opponent because of how they defeated Nigeria at the qualifiers in Abuja.
The Nantes forward stated the Eagles faith is in the hands of the players and must ensure the team seal a second round place.
He however insisted the Eagles must give their all in training sessions, match days and have a positive mindset towards achieving the set targets.
“We have to keep fighting hard and not underrate our next opponent (Guinea-Bissau). They beat us in the qualifiers which is enough for us to wary of them.
“The good thing is that everything is in our hand now. We know what to do to be in the next round. The victory over Ivory Coast has helped us a lot.
“The most important thing now is for us to keep doing our best in training and on matchdays. It’s still a long way to go for us, but the key thing is to remain positive and keep working towards achieving our target.”
