Security Guards In Court For Allegedly Stealing N11.12m Bus, 400 Solar Panels

A quartet of security guards have appeared before the Magistates’ Court in Ikeja for an alleged act of stealing a bus alongside 400 solar panels.

Daniel Edom, 22; Jonah Babatunde, 39; Moses Okoo, 43; and Emmanuel Anyanger, 27 – all residents at Oniwaya, Agege, Lagos State face charges of conspiracy and stealing.

The gang pleaded not guilty to the alleged crime but according to the prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, the accused defendants committed the offences on Oct. 29, 2023, at SKYVille Company located at No. 9, Acme Road, Ogba, Ikeja Lagos.

Akeem further stated that the suspects who worked as security guards at the company conspired and stole the bus valued at N8.5 million and 400 solar panels valued at N2.624,000.

He noted that the offences contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi, granted each defendant N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

Osunsanmi adjourned the case til January 24 for mention
